About Coach Decoud
Thomas Decoud brings the same principles of mental of toughness and dedication that helped him compete in the NFL for 7 seasons to every single one of the athletes he trains. “I got into training because I grew up playing sports and didn’t want to leave the realm. It helps me stay young as I pass the information that I’ve learned onto the next generation of athletes.” Since dedicating himself to training in 2016, Thomas has helped youth athletes improve their performance in athletics and in life. “Everyone has barriers up when someone is teaching or talking at you, but I like to help break down those barriers and the walls to make it easier for my athletes to pick up what I’m putting down. I want them to learn and be dedicated without being overloaded.” Thomas focuses on the educational side of training as a way to help young athletes improve themselves, “For me, this is not just about making someone better, faster, stronger. I’m helping my athletes develop as human beings.”
A part-time football coach at Monte Vista who is also NESTA personal trainer certified, Thomas focuses on consistency, proper technique, and mental fortitude as a means to help athletes young and small achieve their goals. “There’s no magic pill to make you a star overnight. You need to be realistic about what you can work on. You can’t be great all the time, but if you train for greatness soon you won’t know the difference.” Thomas’ workouts stress proper form as a way to prevent and come back from injury by developing consistency and trust in each movement so that you can execute on the field.
